Deal of the Day!!!

I went to my local Big Lots store and I found these...
Fit me foundation from maybelline. They were only $2. And I love this foundation! These two are not my skin color but maybe someone with this skin color would let me do their makeup. Just building my makeup collection on a budget ... Xoxo

My Christmas Gift … Thanks Shoshanna & Yessenia !!

So this Christmas one of my gifts were .. Makeup!!! Go figure lol.

I received this makeup academy palette from Sephora. I am beyond ecstatic to start using it! I am definitely going to get a good use out of this palette it has everything!!

3 concealers
18 cream eyeliners
72 eyeshadows

There is just so much to do with this palette and I am definitely going to do a bunch of different makeup looks with just this palette and post them at a later date !!

Thank You Shoshanna & Yessenia I love it !!

My MakeUp Looks ..

In this last year I have studied You Tube channels. I have admired so many makeup artist and their work. I am just truly amazed by what they can do. And in the past months I have started playing in make up and practicing. I just adore makeup so much I hope one day I can just be great at doing it as well. So here are a couple of my looks that I have been doing. Please don't judge, I'm such a rookie. My blending is horrible and I pretty much throw anything together but I enjoy it so much. I am not a makeup artist neither will I be going to school for it. I just truly enjoy makeup and view it as more of a hobby !

Thanks for looking xoxo

Target Haul !!!

First on the list are these are these maybelline blushes. They were only $3.24. I haven't used them yet but I just got all the different colors I saw. Maybe at a later date I can give a review on them to see if I'm truly in love with them. But as for now I love them because they were on sale!

Next is this NYX brow kit. This was not on sale I think it was maybe like $6. I did have the chance to use this kit and I lovvvveee this. I always look at peoples eyebrows on instagram, youtube etc and I'm just like wtf I want mines to look like that.  And this helps me to achieve that. The white portion of this brow kit is like a wax so it makes sure your eyebrows are laid. I love this and suggest that everyone should invest in one if you want an inexpensive brow kit!

Next are these awesome containers. They varied from $2-$3. I bought them to organize my draw in my vanity. And I am most definitely going to buy more. They're so plain but nice. They're great for organization !

So next are these fit me maybelline foundation sticks. I think I'm just in love with this whole line from maybelline fit me. These sticks glide on like butter!!! So smooth !! I used them to contour and they did the job. I am just in love with these sticks. They were like $7 which is totally fine with me because they're definitely worth every penny. I was just able to blend it out well. Just amazing!

Next are these candle holders. They were $3 and I had to have them because I'm just into decorating my room now and I love silver.

This is the elf lip exfoliator. It has a whole bunch of healthy stuff in it to make your lips nice and soft! It is $3 and taste good  … ugh yeah.

I bought two of these candles. They have fake lights in them and they were only $2.50.  They are great for decorations. I put them on them on timer and they just turn on at night, it's so nice to walk into after a long night. I hope there is more when I go back.

So these jumbo pencils were on sale and I couldn't let them go because I have absolutely no jumbo pencils. So they were $5 and nyx is a good company so I couldn't go wrong.

Last of my haul are these lip creams from NYX. These things are like $6 each but these are my favorite lippies for a nude lip, or a natural look. They go on soft and dry matte. I love these so much i haven't worn lipstick in a while I really love these.
As I check my account my heart sinks to my stomach and I begin to feel sick. But I get this warm feeling inside because I got all these cute things !!!

PS: I'll make sure to do an individual review on each of the makeup products I bought .. xoxo

Bath Time Make Up Brushes .. How I clean my brushes

I absolutely hate washing my makeup brushes. If I could just buy new ones instead of washing them I probably would. But seeing as I'm on a budget thats impossible and I'm forced to wash them. So here's what I do to get them clean. Let's Begin !!!

At the end of a busy week my vanity usually looks something like this.

And it's clear it is time to give my brushes a bath.
To clean my brushes I use dial antibacterial soap and just regular olive oil. I use this combination because the soap is able to take out the bacteria and all the build up in the brushes. And then the oil plays as a moisturizer because the soap used alone will dry out your makeup brushes.
You take a container you don't care about for an easy clean up and pour oil and soap into the container. The amount you use depends on the amount of brushes you have. I had quite a few so I used a lot.
You begin to swirl your brush in the mixture.
When the brush is all lathered up you want to take off the excess soap by pressing down on the bristles and pushing it off the brush.
When washing the brushes you can use lukewarm water and you want to rub them against your fingers to give them a good scrub. Make sure the brush is facing downward so that water doesn't get into the brush and loosen your bristles at the root.
You want to have a towel near by and just pat the brush down to take out excess water.
Then I just let my makeup brushes hang off a ledge and dry over night. In the morning I just fluff the end of the brushes with my finger and they're good to go. They're so soft, I love this method. Well until  I find a better way or a free brush cleaner =)

My Holiday Look .. Experiment

This Christmas I worked a 16 hour shift. In light of the holiday I decided to decorate my face for the occasion.
A red lip was a must. I used cover girl lipstick in fiery red and my avon chocolate lip liner. Red lips look so much better with chocolate lip liner!
For my eyes I used a combination of green, gold and purple in my bh cosmetic palettes. (There's a picture of them in past post) The purple was an accident I thought it was brown but everything looks brown at 4am when you're getting ready for work. But ta-da !

My favorite foundation thus far ... !

Since the beginning of my makeup addiction I have used urban decays liquid foundation. And although it has been good to me we have had a horrible Autumn together. I feel it's not doing the job for me. Maybe I'm not using enough idk but right now were going thru a terrible divorce; but plan to rekindle the fire in the summer (maybe). So on my weekly dose of Target shopping I decided to pick up Maybelline fit me foundation. A lot of people on YouTube use it and I was like why not? $6 I think I wouldn't regret it if it doesn't work. I decided to use it 2 days later when my sissy came up from the city. I literally fell inlove with this foundation. It matched me perfectly. The coverage was amazing and it dried matte.(Well I did put my Milk of Mag. As primer)  I didn't even bother setting it with powder. I loved it so much. This is really an inexpensive gift from the heavens! Definitely a great steal !

New Brushes ... $30 Gasp!

Groupon. Who doesn't love groupon? So every morning when I don't have to rush out of my house to go to work or school, I scroll thru groupon like it's the newspaper. I search for all the deals and occasionally screen shot some items to send to my dear family so maybe they'll get the hint what to buy for just being alive and related to them.( gifts aren't always for holidays.. And I stand by that) Well one morning I went onto groupon and found these beauties.
I have been looking for a set of makeup brushes and I refused to spend more than $50 on brushes. Well actually my account refused because my card would have declined. But that's another story I am a college student don't judge! When I seen these brushes I was ecstatic they were only $30. 24 brushes I couldn't beat that I had to have them. I ordered them and it took maybe a week to arrive. Groupon made sure to send me emails updating me on my package which I really appreciated. When I received my package. I ripped open the box and rubbed the bristle of the brushes. They were so soft. This made this purchase so much better. I posted a picture on my Instagram (lannabean) and people had asked me for the link. Unfortunately they were already sold out. But the company had smaller brush sets available. Just search " Beaute Brushes". You won't be disappointed!

New MakeUp from BHCosmetics.com

So after a little over a week, I finally received my bhcosmetic palettes.
They were about $4 for the top smaller compact palettes. And $8 for the bigger one at the bottom. I was really excited to receive these palettes because if you watch a lot of YouTube videos a lot of gurus that use bhcosmetics use these palettes.
This first palette is the bh Hollywood palette. I would say that the eyeshadows  that are on the right and left of the palette are bright. You'll probably wear these colors when you really want your eyes to pop. Especially with the yellow, greens and purples. The blush in the center of the palette are rosey colors. The two bottom blush I would use as more of a highlight right under the brow bone or a transition color.
This beautiful palette which I think is my favorite out of all of the three is the bh San Francisco. This palette reminds me of fall colors. I would probably use this palette for everyday makeup. The top two blushes in the center of the palette would be used more as a highlight for me rather than a blush.
The last of the small palettes is the bh Malibu palette. I feel that this is a mixture of both palettes. It has bright colors to the left and then dark fall colors to the right.
All together I like these palettes they were only $4 and they're always on sale. The blush found in the middle of each palette seem to be repetitive which is fine because you'll never run out of them.
The last product I recieved from bhcosmetics is my Special Occasion 39 color eyeshadow and blush palette. This is a nice palette if you like dark smokey colors which it has a lot to work with. And it has rosey blushes that compliment your look. Once again it was inexpensive. The eye shadows are pigmented. And definitely something you should have if you're starting up your own makeup collection.

Milk of Magnesia my favorite MakeUp primer.

Have you ever had that issue where after a couple hours you feel that you're  sweating under your makeup. Hence the reason why ladies have to go to the bathroom to powder their nose. I would use primer everytime I wore makeup because the people at the makeup store said apply it to the places your face gets dry. So I applied it to my tzone (my nose, forehead, cheeks) but I found that later in the day my tzone was oily my makeup was literally melting off. I have only tried bare minerals face primer and Nyx face primer. Then I seen one of my beauty gurus from YouTube using milk of magnesia. In my head I was thinking "I give my patients this so they can poop" but I was like why not. So I purchased this huge bottle from Walmart.com it came to no more than $7. This will honestly last you forever.  So when I first started using it I moisturized my face then applied the Milk of Mag. and it worked great. I wore my makeup for 8 hours and didn't notice any oily feeling on my nose. This was heaven. There was one time I was rushing to get ready and I forgot to moisturize my face and just put on the milk of mag. I thought like oh no my nose is going to peel and my face will look so dried out. But it actually didn't and I think my makeup even lasted longer that day. I honestly recommend this as a face primer to anyone with an oily skin or combination skin. I'm not sure how this may work on someone's skin who has dry skin. I applied it to my face with a disposable sponge and just dabbled it all over. So try it and let me know how it works for you! And if you think you have a better primer than this I want to know also so maybe I can buy it as well!

Color Corrector .. Ugh colors?

So over a week ago I posted a color corrector palette that I purchased from bhcosmetics.com . Very in expensive cost me maybe 4-5 dollars. Plus if you always purchase from them you will know that there is always deals going on.
And at first I think I honestly bought it because it was cheap and one of my favorite beauty gurus on instagram said they use it. But I had no clue what is was for or how to use it. Ive been stalking her videos to see when she used it and haven't come across one video yet. I thought maybe to highlight and contour. So I began playing around with it.
And clearly that ended up being a mess. lol.
But after doing research I found out that a color that the colors are use to neutralize dark marks, red marks, any discoloration on your face , etc. It basically works as a concealer. I would definitely say its work the buy. I use the peachy color to lighten up the dark marks on my face so that when I apply my foundation the dark marks don't show threw.

New MakeUp

This MAC Black lipstick. AHHH i love it, of course I don't know how to use it or when i'll wear it out but it was a one day purchase from MAC and I absolutely had to have it.
My next haul was Lashes. Just from viewing a million and one makeup tutorials. All makeovers pop way more with lashes on. So from trueorfalseproducts.com
Im in love with them just looking at the package. They were only $0.75 . Very inexpensive company and great quality eyelashes.
